#582-3 Old Town Rentals – Yupik Suite located in the historic Ketchikan downtown area. It is a very convenient location close to many restaurants, art galleries, docks, museums, and parks. There are many local attractions within a short walking distance from the building; the Totem Heritage Center, Creek Street, Thomas Basin, City Park, the Eagle Center, Lumberjack Show and Dolly’s House, just to name a few! Some of our past guests have told us they like to stay at the Old Town Vacation Rentals because it is so conveniently located for their charter captain to pick them up or catch the boat from the harbor at Thomas Basin.
This historic building was once a cannery bunkhouse, a prohibition brothel, and an early Tatsuda grocery store. Now days, the building offers travelers a home away from home for a convenient, comfortable short stay in Ketchikan. This property has a choice of 3 separate units; The Nordic Suite, a two bedroom at the street side of the building, The Celtic Suite, a studio in the center and The Yupik Suite, a large two bedroom toward the back of the building. The apartments are located on the second floor of the building above a business.
No need to rent a car because the city bus stops directly in front of the building every hour!
The Yupik Suite is the largest of the Old Town Vacation Rentals suites. It is a two bedroom apartment with a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. It has the larger kitchen and larger living room of all of the suites. The Yupik Suite shares a washer/dryer with the Celtic Suite.
The Yupik Suite and the Celtic Suite can be connected to make a larger 3 bedroom/ 2 bath unit when rented together.
The Celtic Suite This is a studio apartment suite; The studio has a large flat screen TV mounted on the wall, a nice bright kitchenette with a breakfast bar and a bathroom with shower. This suite is small and suitable for a couple or a single person. It shares a washer/dryer with the Yupik Suite.

livable, the only thing good was the location. The beds were horrible, obviously very old and super uncomfortable. Bathroom again old and fixtures were very cheap as made for a small child.
Bob, I am sorry that this property didn’t work well for you. It is an older building in a good location downtown. Although it is older it is always very clean. It has always been a popular rental for the fishermen that want to be walking distance from the dock. It is not an expensive property and the rate reflects that.
This was my 2nd time staying here. It was perfect for our Guys Fishing Trip. The location was great since it is close to the docks. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Will stay here again for our next Guys Fishing Trip.
