#660 Rain Forest Vacation Rental This rental is located only 2 miles south of downtown along the waterfront. The beautiful view is of the ocean and the landscaped yard. Ships come and go through the narrow passageway between the islands. Wildlife can be seen everyday with eagles flying overhead and seals, whales and otters frequently playing along the shore. The house is located in a very convenient area along the walking trail to town. If you would rather not rent a car, the city bus stops close by. It is also close to Saxman Village where there is a large collection of totem poles. It is about 5 miles to Herring Cove and 2 miles to Rotary Beach.
This is a small, ground-level, studio apartment in a quiet neighborhood. There is a queen size bed and a cozy sofa. The kitchen is completely equipped with pots, pans and everything you need for an extended stay. It is equipped with a private washer/ dryer. There is extra parking to accommodate a boat and trailer. The owner lives in the upper portion of the home. No Smoking Allowed

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing stay working from home here during the summer of 2020. The back window and sliding door provide a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Tongass Narrows where sailboats, yachts, whales, sea lions, and eagles can be spotted during the day. Greg and Roseanne were very accommodating and made us feel right at home.
