#648 Mountain Point View is a nice 2 bedroom/ 2 bath short-term rental in the popularly requested Mountain Point area. It is a quick drive to town. It’s quiet and peaceful. There is a walking/bike trail near by that extends about 5 miles almost all the way to town. It is close to some of the best shoreline fishing on the island and only a couple miles from Herring Cove for bear watching or fishing. It is also not far from the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary and the Zip Line.
The apartment is a roomy 850 sq ft and has amenities like,TV, internet, off-street parking and a washer & dryer. There is also a large deck for enjoying the beautiful view. Both bedrooms have queen beds and there are two bathrooms.

We have very much enjoyed this appartment and, as always, thank Mary for her work in finding it for us. This makes the 3rd summer we have spent in Ketchikan and she understands our needs completely. The overview at the right shows 1 bath, but it really has 1 1/2. One problem that we ran into was that neither of our AT&T phones would work since we are on the other side of the mountain from the AT&T cell tower. There is a Verizon/GCI tower on this side and GCI was able to add their SIM card to Jason’s smart phone, but a new number was required. I have the AT&T SIM card and will reinstall it when we return to Texas. The apartment is well furnished, clean and the view off the deck is beautiful. The owners have been very gracious and helpful in making us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone that wants an upscale accommodations.
